The first question to ask would be, what is Rapid Prototyping?
Rapid Prototyping can be described most accurately by calling it a collection of technologies which are driven by CAD Data to fabricate physical models through an additive process. This process can be stated to be the opposite of machining, since it is not subtracting the material, it is instead adding it. There are a few other names for Rapid Prototyping, such as Additive Manufacturing, 3D Printing, Free Form Fabrication, Solid Imaging and Direct Digital Manufacturing are some of the names it has been given.

As part of Rapid prototyping class of MSC Ipm we have been divided into teams and each team has to present a part of rapid prototyping,  three teams presented their presentations on 25 oct 2012, which are as under , please click on the title to see the presentation or you may download it directly from the bottom.

It is highly recommended that each team goes through the presentation so that there is no ovelap of the presentations.
